About The Weight Band

Born in the legendary Levon Helm Studios barn in 2013, The Weight Band isn't just carrying on The Band's legacy—they're expanding it. Led by Jim Weider (The Band's lead guitarist 1985-2000), this powerhouse quintet features Brian Mitchell (Bob Dylan, B.B. King), Michael Bram (Jason Mraz), Matt Zeiner (Dickey Betts/Allman Brothers), and Albert Rogers (Levon Helm collaborator).

Fresh off their critically acclaimed album "Shines Like Gold"—recorded live during the pandemic with minimal rehearsal yet delivering maximum soul—The Weight Band proves they're masters of the "Woodstock Sound." From roadhouse rock to funky swamp pop, their music carries a message of hope: "There's a new dawn rising, and it shines like gold."

This is lightning in a bottle—veterans who've played with Willie Nelson, Al Green, and music royalty, now united in one extraordinary band. Tonight, witness the torchbearers of Americana deliver both timeless Band classics and original songs that Billboard calls "excellent."
