SEO Strategist – Syracuse, NY

Custody & Agency is hiring a highly skilled, independently driven SEO Strategist to join our Syracuse team. This is not a junior role, and it’s not for followers. We're looking for a digital operator—someone who already owns and runs their own sites and networks, and knows the difference between chart-chasing and system building. If you’ve built rankings from scratch, weaponized content, or reverse-engineered top positions across industries, you’ll feel at home here. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Syracuse hub. You’ll work alongside experts in healthcare, legal, finance, and high-compliance sectors, helping design systems that survive volatility and beat algorithmic shifts—not just once, but every time. Your toolkit will go far beyond keywords. You’ll deploy audits that matter, optimize site architecture like an engineer, and use data like a weapon. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute SEO systems for clients in regulated industries
  • Conduct live competitive audits with 24–48 hour turnarounds
  • Deploy page logic, internal linking, and content layering for search dominance
  • Deliver monthly executive-level performance briefs and projections
  • Coordinate with dev, content, and compliance teams to ensure clean execution

Required Qualifications

  • Active ownership of websites, PBNs, or affiliate networks
  • Proof of top-3 rankings in at least three distinct verticals
  • Advanced proficiency in GA4, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • Case studies or dashboards demonstrating real, attributable SEO outcomes
  • Fluency in site logic, crawl optimization, and technical troubleshooting

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in HIPAA, ADA, FINRA, or healthcare compliance SEO
  • Strong understanding of programmatic SEO and content automation
  • Experience with schema deployment, log file analysis, or edge SEO
  • Ability to reverse-engineer competitor networks and backlink strategies
